Scott Chandler is a partner in Jade Resort Residences & Beach Club at Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. He is also president of Palm Coast Properties International, the project's lead Costa Rican-based sales and marketing arm.
Scott became involved in real estate development and marketing in 1993, partnering and managing over a dozen development projects in the Midwest at various stages of their process.
Throughout his time in the Midwest, Scott had a long-time vision to develop unique projects in exotic locations. In 2004, he traveled to and discovered the beauty of Costa Rica. In particular, he fell in love with Costa Rica's pura vida or "pure life" charm and participated in interesting and unique real estate transactions. He also began to actively seek locations for very special projects.
During his regular visits to Costa Rica, Scott became acquainted with the region of Manuel Antonio, on the Central Pacific Coast - a location known for one of the most frequented national parks and conservation areas in the country and admired for its stunning natural beauty and distinct biodiversity. It was in Manuel Antonio that he realized his dream of creating a world-class residential resort, joining the real estate and development team for Jade Resort Residences & Beach Club.
Scott relocated from the Midwest to Costa Rica in 2007 with his wife Nichole and four young children, all of whom have immersed in the local culture and lifestyle. He and his wife have also started a school in the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area in an effort to provide the local children an opportunity to grow in character while raising their academic level of education.
